Over a home-cooked meal at Eric & Jeannie Nadel's home, the guys began sharing stories - how they got into the business, career highs and lows, and insights into favorite players, coaches and owners.
Karen Cooperstein, merely a bystander - but a passionate volunteer fundraiser - thought to herself: "This is magic. We need to bottle it and use it to raise money for charity."
And, thus, Talk of the Town was born.
In four years, the event has grossed over $450,000 for DFW-area charities, with the help of an outside charity.
In 2017, Chuck and Karen Cooperstein founded Coops' Kids Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to serve as the fiscal agent of the event. This will ensure that all net proceeds go to the guys' designated charities, helping those children most in need in our community.
